Terms of service

Last reviewed: 2 November 2026

This page provides general information about Brighter Days. Any specific support arrangement, tasks, fees, visit schedule and cancellation arrangements should be agreed directly with Catherine before a service begins.

What the service offers

Brighter Days offers non-medical home help and befriending, which may include light housekeeping, laundry and ironing, simple meal preparation, friendly visits, conversation and companionship, and support with hobbies or everyday activities.

What the service does not offer

Brighter Days is not a provider of professional or personal care. It does not provide clinical care, medical advice, diagnosis, medication administration, lifting or handling, or other regulated care tasks. If you need these services, please contact an appropriately qualified provider or your local authority.

Agreeing support

Before any work starts, please discuss the tasks required, suitability, availability, location, charges, payment arrangements, visit length, cancellations, access to the home and any relevant safety considerations with Catherine. No visit or service is confirmed until both parties have agreed the arrangements.

Emergencies

Brighter Days is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 999. For urgent medical advice in England that is not an emergency, use NHS 111.
